August 2010, C. C. Parker Comes To Live At Center City Park
Urban kitty C. C. (Center City) Parker is the one and only resident of Center City Park in downtown Greensboro.
Parker arrived at the park on a Friday (August 27, 2010) and immediately made himself at home. He is an orange and white American shorthair calico cat estimated to be one year old. The crew at the Park and the staffs of the organizations that oversee the Park (Action Greensboro, Downtown Greensboro, Inc. and Grassroots Productions) were all flattered that he had picked us and immediately saw the wisdom of the Park having its own cat. Fortunately, the Park Oversight Committee agreed unanimously and Parker has become an official resident.
C. C. Parker has many generous friends, most of whom haven't even met him yet, who have contributed funds to help make sure he stays safe, well-fed and in tip-top health.February 2010, Alexa Aycock receives Greensboro Beautiful Volunteer Service Award.
